The local assembly
of Presbyterian churches from Tecumsah, MI to Celina, OH, and from
Galion, OH to Huron, OH is called Maumee Valley
Presbytery. Sister
churches untie to accomplish mission and support ministry close
to home. When you join forces with the thousands of Presbyterians
in Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio, your contribution has
a greater impact. Together we are the body of Christ in Maumee
Valley Presbytery, working together to touch, shape, and save lives.
Together we help support 26 mission causes. From
providing food for the table, to advocating for those who are weaker,
to hands-on mission, together we proclaim and live out the love and
grace of Jesus Christ. Your contribution to the Mission Cause budget
of Maumee Valley Presbytery also provides for the ongoing Mission
work of the Presbytery itself. Nearly 700 adults and children were
helped during the 2003 Mission Health Fairs. 414 were referred for
additional medical and dental care. At least one life was saved by
detection of a critical condition.
Congregations seeking redevelopment are assisted in looking to
change. Congregations are assisted in seeking and enriching pastoral
leadership. Candidates under care receive needed aid. Commissioned
Lay Pastors are trained to help fill the gap. Programs for youth,
Presbytery wide workshops, and resources for your church all come
from your gracious giving. |
