Education Services

Sunday morning Christian Education begins with the "opening" when a few verses of a favorite hymn are sung, announcements given, coffee, juice and donuts shared.  The young people toddler through 12th grade go with their teachers to class, and the adults grab a second cup of coffee before seperating into the Adult Bible Class (ABC) and the Adult Issues Class.

Currently, Rev. Aber leads the ABCs in a study and discussion of the Aposlte Paul, using his letter to the Galatians as the primary resource, but drawing upon the Book of Acts and other New Testament letters.

The Adult Issues class just concluded a 6 week study of democracy and began a study of the energy problem - choices for an uncertain future.  Both are products of the National Issues Forum

Before Christmas and Easter, special educational opportunities are scheduled to sharpen the focus of our devotional life, or deepen our understanding of our Christian fellowship.

The Session arranges for Lenten Soup and Worship for the 6 weeks before Easter.  This year's focus for worship was the 7 Last Words of Jesus fromthe cross.

The pastor leads a Men's Lunch & Bible Study twice a year for 6 to 10 weeks.  The men of the church and their friends enjoy one of Huron's best meals for $5!  The fellowship is priceless.
